What feature package do I need to establish simultaneous ring?

to simultaneously ring on mulitiple sets?

Just program MCR keys. I think that is a standard package. What release are you on?

not a feature package, either scr keys or mcr keys, an scr on three different phones rings on all three phone, if one is busy, they are all dark on that line.. the next caller get a busy or hunt treatment.. on a mcr key, programed on three phones, one phone answers the other two are still avaible for calls. the caller never get hunt treatment until all three lines are busy

I am referring to simultaneous ring as in a desk phone and a cell phone ring simultaneously. My cell vendor says this can be done. I don't know.

what cell vendor is telling you that? That would involve ringing an internal extension and accessing a trunk member at the same time.

if your putting in your on cell site..otherwise, use cfxa and forward no answer.. i don't know of a way to make a cell a ext without a tie to the site

This is Verizon. I don't think we can do this. They are doing it on a Meridian at their site, but they must have a PRI/TIE set up. By the way, what is the Friday question post?

Verizon? Sure they aren't using their DMS with a Centrex package back at the CO? That might give them the power....but not you.

There is a software package you can get for the PBX it is called PCA (Personnel Call Assistant). We have it up and working at our site and it works great. After a call rings once on a extension it then forwards out using a virtual tn to the persons cell phone.

PCA allows a simultenaous call on different number (internal or external).
The second solution is MIPCD (Meridian Integrated Personal Call Director)board. It's a web based configuration application that's allows you to redirect calls depending on the CLID and the time of day. REALLY GREAT !!!!! but expensive (about 15000 euros for 32 channels, but much more users)

all these app's are great if you want to hunt or foward externally, but i dont see a solution for SIMULTANEOUS ring like this guy is looking for.

I know I can do it on my Vonage home phone line...i just go to my Vonage web page and set up a number and my home phone and whatever other phone number i insert ring together.

there must be something for a meridian...but prob only for an IP system like a 4.0 M1 or a succession or maybe a different third party app

if you just want to forward off net, that's not a problem. i have a 4 digit ext on my cell and i can forward to it. it will not ring at the same time as a line appearance.. the Personnel Call Assistant does the same thing, with rco set to 1 ring

Sim Ring requires Rls 3 and higher. And PCA.

Okay, now I am really confused. I requested a feature package for PCA, my sales person ordered a PCD card. Will any of this accomplish the following: I need a call that is ringing on my desk phone to ring simultaneously on my cell phone. Please help.

if the call is routed to the cell phone and they send it to the cell site and the switch as a did, the switch would not need any additional software. if the cell can not do that, i don't know a way it's do-able in the switch.

Hi Nancy,

there's no need to be confused.


There’s no package you need to make simring active. All you need is licences for the so called PCA feature (Personal Call Assistance). If you receive the new key code you will be able to program a TN with the type of PCA parallel to the number you would like to have this feature active. See the programming below (most important key 0 and 1). For each set that wants to have this feature activated or for any other device that should ring in parallel you must waste one licence.

That’s the ISM parameter responsible for the PCA feature.
In LD 22 do a REQ SLT<CR>.

I assume that the card your sales person ordered is the Card formerly known as MIPCD (Meridian Integrated Personal Call Director). This Card is used to define the reach ability of a person while he is away from his regular work place. In this card you can define time frames or groups of persons that can be treated different (customers, colleagues, family etc.). Nice card/application but no solution for your problem.
