Simulating Crash

if i have two server with windows 2000 and AD, now i want to simulate a crash of the main server, and the secondari has to wake up all my network, with my client/server program and all the data, till here all OK.

Now i want to put a bigger server how were the other primary, and now i couldnt made it master again... but i have the problem of the Global Catalog.

How can i do it .....
