Hi

I used the group policy on the domain to change the start menu to the windows classic ie single column using the force simple menu setting. How can I change it back to the XP style start menu without visiting all the machine, I have tried disabling the policy and it did not work.

Thanks Paul Rewston

bit confused - group policies are local to XP. NT server can set domain polices (but doesn't know about XP, so...) and 2000 server has active directory (which I believe can set domain policies, though have little experience of 2000 server) - but 2000 also ignorant of XP. So, what have you done? (ie, please give details of what you've set up) as only way I can see you having done this is if you've set group polices on individual XP machines.

The group policies can set in the active directory (GPO's), the ADM file is loaded to the active directory to update for XP. These ADM files are also already held on a XP machine and are also user for local group policy (individual machines).

I have looked round a bit about this problem but it looks like the change has to be done manually anyway. Paul Rewston
