hi

I am new to access, have a small database , with , fields say item code and descritpion

I want to create a query in which the user can serach in by using itemcode, and all the relative fields to the record is displayed.

thanx in advance :)

The easiest way to do this without code is to let the user know that if he/she clicks on the form in the item code field and then clicks on the binoculars on the toolbar, they can search that field.

All the other fields will display in the form if you put them there.

Or, if you don't mind that your user sees a table, you can build a query with all the necessary fields in it, and in the CRITERIA line for the ITEM CODE, you can enter

[Enter ITEM CODE]

When they press OK, the appropriate items will show.

Hope this helps.
