i have a table (tblx) with a field called 'phoneno'

i have another table called tblz with a field called 'phoneno' too...

i want to create a view using the visual tools in enterprise manager so i created a join btw them by draging the phoneno field in tblz to the phoneno field in tblx..

i have physically looked at the 2 table and there is a matching phoneno but when i test the query i dont get any rows...

what could be wrong here?

this sounds very basic but i am stumped..
any kinda help will do..

Hi...

Check datatype of phone no in both tables.
For eg, It one is char & other is varchar, it will not be identified as same because char will pad space in right side of data.

Regards

Ginish
