Silly question...about power point 1

I feel bad for having to ask this, but I haven't been able to find any help elsewhere online.

Do any of you know how if power point allows for a song to be played during the whole slideshow? I am able to play a song during one slide, but I can't figure out how to play a song during the whole slideshow.

I was wondering if I have to download an add-on of some sort.
Thank you for any help or suggestions you can give.
