silent / unattended install nsr 7.1 windows 1

Hi there,

I want to do a unattended installation of networker 7.1 on windows 2000 / 2003. I tried

nw71_win_x86.exe /s /v"/qn INSTALLLEVEL=300"

but nothing happens. What do I do wrong?

INSTALLLEVEL=300 was never an option.

Use
400 for the client
600 for the storage node
800 for the server

I saw "INSTALLLEVEL=300" on a networker 7.0 CD , file: networker.sms .

Seems to be a Microsoft SMS configuration file. There is line:
setup.exe /s /v"/qn INSTALLLEVEL=300"

so I thought, that this would work from commandline as well.


I think 400, 600 and 800 are for versions before 7.0 .

O.K., i do not know what your problem is but i have tested
the command you stated first and it worked for me with all
options:

For the client
C:\>nw71_win_x86 /s /v"/qn INSTALLLEVEL=100"

For the SNode:
C:\>nw71_win_x86 /s /v"/qn INSTALLLEVEL=200"

For the server:
C:\>nw71_win_x86 /s /v"/qn INSTALLLEVEL=300"

The software and services will be installed etc.

Please keep in mind that NW is installed under the default path
which is %SYSTEM_DRIVE%\Program Files\Legato\nsr\bin
However, if you use a different OS language, it could be that you must replace "Program Files" with the appropriate
directory.
