Hello Ladies and Gents,
I recently installed Nortel CICS 7.1 wi/cp100 3.0.
Currently all extensions have been set to appr/ring and after 4 rings AA picks up and does prompts.
This was set up as per client request.
Client says he did this at another location that had Nortel System...
He would be on his phone (not handsfree) and push a feature code, and this allowed the conversation to be heard through the speaker of the phone as well...
Question: Is this a legit request? Would he be referring to silent monitor feature?(comes out speaker or through an attached headset?)
I've never utilized this feature but looking at the documentation this would only work if the sets are in a Hunt Group...if this is the case I'm wondering how this is going to affect the original config of his set up...as previous posts suggest "no lines are to appear on the set" and it only works on a transferred call the extension.
So if a call comes into the KSU and is picked up directly by this individual it means he wouldn't be able to use this feature?
So as i understand it, all sets have to be added to a huntgroup but not necessarily utlize the huntgroup 290(eg)which would ring all the sets in this group as this isn't something we want to happen...I'm overloading on coffee, sorry i'm trying to hash this out before I confirm set up with the client.....Thanks again all!!!!!
