We are getting about 20 calls an hour to the Attd console that have no one on the other end of the line. The calls are showing up on the console as "Incoming to Operator - ic". Most normal calls into our building show up as "Incoming to ABCD - Id" where ABCD is our company name.

Our trunk group is an analog group consisting of 11 wink-start lines.

What does the -Id and ic mean? Have any of you come across a situation like this? I've called Qwest asking if they might have mis-programmed something in their switch but they say they can't help me.

Thanks,

Brad

I had something similar happen to me a while back on some G3 boards. ended up being a bad board. Until I was able to replace the board though, I just unplugged the bad line that was causing it. To find the bad line in a trunk group, do test trunk 141 or whatever the trunk groups are. test all of them and see if you get any that fail.
I hope this helps as I am fairly new myself but had a similar problem like I Said.

I apologize, this happened on my G700 boards, not G3's. Also, did you try running a list trace station on your attendants console? when i did that, it looked almost like the attendant was calling herself. just curious to see what yours looked like.

Sorry, I'm not the best with PBXs. Ours got handed to me when another employee quit so everything I've learned is been the way of trying different things on the PBX as we need them.

List Trace Station doesn't work. After List Trace, Station doesn't show up in the list of available commands. We're running G3V6i.03.2.239.5.

Our receptionist has been writing down the lines that these calls come in on and it's never the same one. I also have our incoming trunk spread across 2 circuit packs and the silent calls are also spread across those as well.

One thing to note is we've been getting calls for a hotel here in town. We've found out that a number on one their business cards is from one of our DID blocks. I'm starting to wonder if the telco messed up and sold that DID block to the hotel not knowing it's ours......
