I have a customer that have ISDN with point-to-multipoint. The only way I have connected a SILC card is with point-to-point protocol. Does any of you have a solution on how to programme the trunk as point-to-multipoint.
Hello I2007,
this configuration is normaly not supported from Nortel!!!
But it works you only have to call once one MSN to establishe the layer 2, but be carefull, if it is going down again, the first call to that trunk will fail, also outgoing call will fail until the Layer 2 is established again.
here my Lab config:

Thanks alot. You gave me enough info to make a desicion not to use this method. It is actually a small hospital that wants to use this ISDN as an "911" type of call. So it's not a functionality that semes reliable enough to use. I'll make the traffic vendor change the ISDN it to point-to-point protocol instead...
