I have not been able to "introduce the follower to the leader signal server". Same problem with the MC-32 card. The leader works fine but using element manager cannot get the follower or MC-32 to transfer and save. Any help is greatly appreciated.

have you set up the follower from the faceplate interface? if i remember right, you need to add the mac of the leader card at the cli level

For MC, check that Software is the same as SS:
Look messages on boot by plugin a terminal in MC serial port 9600/8/n/1.

Most of the time the Version is not the same. So, configure SS, transfer to elements but MC will fails. Then from Element Manager upload the new version to MC to make it run and regognize by system.

For the follower info to set up(sorry boring reading all your infos...) the node definition have to be correctly introduced, transfer and all systems (SS leader and follower and MCs)restarted.
Please shortly tell me at which point it fails.

Everything seems to work fine during the configaration in Element Manager, now can trick follower when booting up with CD and tell it that it is the leader but shoould not have to do that. Once all info has been entered for either/or/both MC-32 and follower signal server hit the enter and save, then it comes back saying it failed, do the reboot for both the card and the Sig Serv and do the enter and save again still fails. Is there a login/password for the faceplate connection of the MC-32 card? At least I could set the IP addresses for it.

Password for a never synchronized MC might be either itgadmin/itgadmin or admin/cseadmin

When loading os in follower SS, just tell it it's a follower, not a leader. You will then not be able to enter any additionnal IP infos. That's the normal way. It will retrieve all IP@ from the leader.

When entering the MAC address of SS, take care that it's the E.LAN one needed. On the sticker behind the front panel, it's the upper one. At the back plane, the T.LAN is up, and E.LAN is down..!!

One thing that you donn't mention in your configuration steps is the H323 ID wich has to be the same in both SS and MC.

Is the H323 ID the same?
