I have just built a workstation with a new Shuttle Motherboard model AK32A with an Athlon 1800+ Socket A processor. The system is a fast bugger, but it keeps re-booting after about 5 minutes of operation no matter where you are on it. I have disabled the temprature BIOS functions, and cannot see anything else that should shut it down, so why is it just shutting down?

Probably a Windows error, but you can't see it, because it's set to automatically restart.
Right click My Computer, Properties, Advanced tab. 3rd one down (startup and recovery) hit the Settings button.
Take the tick mark out of "Automatically restart".
Next time it happens, you'll actually get to see the error on the screen.
Alternatively, you can go into the error logs, and see what error is causing the restart.
Right click My Computer, select Manage.
Expand the Event Viewer tab, and check all 3 subsections for errors.

Cheers,
Jim
