I want to use the Shutdown command in XP after I have done a backup at night, I use the Option "Shutdown - s" but it does not power the computer off, it sits at "It is now safe to turn of your computer"

Thanks

use the command:
tsshutdn <time> /server:<server> /powerdown
if you leave out the time part, de default is 30 sec
if you leave out the server part, the target is the current computer

OR for more options
tsshutdn /? It is impossible to make anything foolproof because fools are so ingenious.
