I have a network of 20-30 W2K machines. They are used to support a marine corp simulation. They do not touch the "outside world" so security is not an issue. The only security measure I take is to make sure that the simulation user has only user permissions instead of administrator, except for on the printer where I give them full rights (local line printer, let them cancel the documents).
My question is this: At the end of the day when it's time to clear all the print queues and shut the machines down is it possible to have a script(s) that I can run to do a remote login and perform the desired tasks? If it is possible, how or where do I get such a script?
I've downloaded a program that does a remote shutdown, but it only executes one machine at a time. Would like to have something like I had on my Unix machines where one script would shutdown the whole network.
Thanks for any assistance.
