Shrink to Fit Command

Ack. Has anyone experienced problems with the shrink to fit command (alt + shift) not working on *some* photos? Every now and then I get a box that will just not let me shrink it while maintaining proportions. Any ideas?

Alt + Shilt does not work on it's own you need F as well, which will fit the picture, but not keeping the proportions.

Alt + Shift + Command will fit the picture and keep the proportoins the same. If you can't fix it in 20 call someone who can.
