Thanks Mike.
When I start VFP, SET(“RESOURCE”) returns OFF. I can key in SET RESOURCE ON - when SET(“RESOURCE”) returns ON.
But if I close VFP and restart, SET(“RESOURCE”) again returns OFF. Is there a way to make the SET RESOURCE ON persist after re-starting VFP?
As mentioned, clicking on ‘File’ does not come up with a list of recent projects (even though Tools|Options|View|Recent shows 4).
The value of SYS(2005) is “C:\USERS\ . . . \Visual Foxpro 9\FOXUSER.DBF”. That pair of files does indeed exist and shows its ‘Date modified’ as today. If I rename them, VFP still fires up, but as before, recent projects do not show.
I have tried replacing the Foxuser.* files with those from another machine where the list of projects shows, but (on the original machine), the problem persists.
This problem first arose when, if I ran a particular application in a VFP session, after returning to VFP the list of projects would not show. However the situation was always cleared by restarting VFP. However one day, after running that application, I went into Tools | Options – think I changed the Recent files option to 5 – and clicked in ‘Set as default’. Since then the list of projects has never been visible.
Any further suggestions would be most welcome.
