Hello,

I recently upgraded my IPO 406v2 to firmware version 5.0(15) from 5.0(8) and suddenly one of my short codes stopped working.
I had this sc 83N, so I could dial 83N and it would work. Now I must dial 83N# for it to work.

Did I miss something during the upgrade?

This is because the IP trunk that you are using requires En-bloc dialling (i.e. all digits required to transmitted at the same time) ISDN uses overlap dialling (digits can be transmitted as they are generated - with certain timeouts)

You have a
SC - 83N;
TN - N
LG - 100 (the line group of the IP trunk)

Build a new ARS with a shortcode
SC - N;
TN - N
LG - 100

Then adjust the dial delay timer in the ARS table to suit.

Alter your 83N; to be

SC - 83N
TN - N
LG - New ARS

Depending on what the otehr end is expecting youmay need to tweak the shortcodes

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

Your problem is easy to resolve it! :)
Leave everything you have as you had in the past and go to System | Telephony | Telephony.
There you change the inter-digit time delay to 2secs (Dial Delay Time) and for Dial Delay Count put 20 (or what ever you thing it is appropriate for you - I do not believe you will dial more than 20 digits (shortcode+phone_number))!

Now you can use your 83N shortcode (without ";" at the end! :)

PS: If I am wrong please correct me!

Or use "Dial Fax" instead of "Dial". But only in the ShortCode not in the ARS.

SC - 83N;
TN - N
FT - Dial Fax
LG - ARS

This is a bug/change after 5.0 don't know why but I hope it's fixed in R6.

@PaulRoM - That worked!
@Bas1234 - I did not try "Dial Fax" but thanks though. I've mentally registered that for the future.
I hope my IPO will be able to take R6, though not sure.
