Short code not working

I have a 4606 phone and when I put the $ in front of the Ext it does not ask for a password. It does on my 4620. I was wondering if there is another way to program it so the voicemail asks for a password on the 4606.

why are you getting the phone to ask for a pw when it should ask for one in deafault...blank then you enter your onw...pro or lite?...[lightsaber]

Voicemail pro. I have the source number as a V then extension and it just goes right the voicemail. I am using Voicemail Collect as the shortcode.
