hi Have recentley been infected with a incurable computer bug witch requires me to read every computer book at my local liberary then spend hundreds of dollars on additional more up to date books. But no this was not enoug h Decided to upgrade a old acer board to with in a inch of its life( 667mhz to 1.4ghz) now its a p4 using a 3gig lga 775 processor + a asus p5p800 mobo (does that mean mother board ?) with 1gig of hynix pc3200 ram all went fine except for one short beep on post manual says a key board error is this right also would like to instal dVd burner is audio cable required if using xpsp2

Do you have a keyboard attached? Is it plugged in correctly?

If this is a keyboard error, you SHOULD be getting a message similiar to: Keyboard error, Press F1 to resume, F2 to enter setup.

Make sure the keyboard is securely inserted into the connector. IF this doesn't fix the problem, try a different keyboard.

Also make sure you dont have a bent pin on the keyboard connector. also check the mouse as well, cant hurt any.
