I have two users on the same win2K pro PC who need to be setup to view the same Outlook calendar w/o an exchange server. Is there any way to do this?

Create a public folder, and create a new calendar in that folder.

The help menu will get you through the process.

I've reviewed the Microsoft Outlook Help entries regarding "sharing outlook calendar files" and all 256 entries listed for for the term "Calendar" and the entries listed for "public folder". I am still confused as to how I can create a single calendar viewable by all users of a single PC.

- How do I point a user's instance of Calendar at a specific directory?
- Is it enough to give two users modify on a folder for them to be able to manipulate the calendar?

OK... here we go..........

1) Go to Outlook Today

2) Menu: FILE/FOLDER/NEW FOLDER

3a) Name It "New Calendar" your choice
I will refer to it as "NC" for brevity.
3b) Folder contains Appointment Items
3c) Expand all public folders
3d) Highlight all public folders
3e) OK

4a) Menu: FILE/IMPORT AND EXPORT
4b) Export to a file
4c) Personal folders file .pst
4d) Browse to "NC", highlight, and NEXT
4e) Browse to where you want to save the .pst file and FINISH

5) Delete "NC" from your Public Folders

6) Make sure the "NC".pst file is in a place both users can access. (Drag and Drop OK)

BOTH USERS MUST NOW:

7a) Menu: TOOLS/SERVICES/Add
7b) Personal Folders
7c) Browse to "NC" and double-click
7d) Name it as you want to see it (per user choice)
7e) OK

Ready to rumble............and Good Luck *Remember.......

your going to have to use your feet
