Next week I will be setting up a network for a small office in my area. They will have one server and quite a few clients. The server will be running NT Server 4.0 and the clients will be running NT Workstation 4.0. This is all fine, but believe it or not I've never had to set up a small network so that the clients could share the server's dial-up internet connection...and this is what they need done. I would like to avoid any 3rd party software, as their internet connection will only be used every once in a while for automatic software updates for the software they use. Is there some way to do this without buying 3rd party software?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you!

Set your server up as a Proxy server and set your LAN up to use a private range of IP addresses.

Your proxyserver will act as a relay for all your users, provided that they use the proxyserver internal static address as their default gateway.

Hope this helps

How do you set up a server as a Proxy then ? .For I have the same task at my station
Thanx.
