Good morning guys, a question for y'all:
I've got a home network:
1. Windows 98
2. Windows ME
a printer is connected to the Windows ME machine.
The 2 machines share a DSL internet connection.
The workgroup I set works fine: the two machines see each other and can share everything, including the printer, which prints every job sent by the Windows 98 machine.
Not every job, actually: I access an on-line application (a clinical information service) from the machines. I need to print the information I receive, but the printer does not print the pages sent by Windows 98 machine. It prints the requests by the locally attached Win ME though. If I attach the PTR to the Win 98 machine, it works. It appears to be an issue between the on-line app and the PTR sharing. I tried to capture the port, trying to fool the app into believing the remote machine was local, to no effect.
Any idea will be appreciated. s-)
