Shared Folders keep removing on External USB HD...

Hi all,

Not quite sure if this is the correct forum for this question...

I've recently purchased a USB external cage and have an internal IDE hard drive connected to it. There are two problems that I am experiencing:

1) I always have to reconnect (upon every power on of PC) the USB cable in order to 'see' the drive.

2) Any shared drives created are always deleted when I restart the computer.

Any help/advice on the above problems would be much apprecitated.

What level of Service Pack are you? The later the better.
