We are moving onto the Exchange 2003 platform from a POP3 based platform. I have installed Exchange 2003 Enterprise Edition and am learning the in's and out's. I havent messed with Exchange since 5.5 and many things are different.

What I can't figure out is how to Setup and Share company and Departmental calendars. I see there is a public folder option, but I dont like how they work... Is there another option?

we have 5 departments in our organization and I need to setup 5 different Dept calendars and then a single Company calendar.

I cant finger it out, could someone please help me.

thanks,

We use a public folder for our company diary and we can't live without it.

I can see some good uses for public folders, dont get me wrong.

I found a solution that might work.... create a user in AD called "Corporate Calendar", setup permissions and add as mailbox or shared calendar in Outlook.

I think this would work well for our environment, but would like to hear of other ways people are sharing calendars, etc.

In our company, in Exchange 2003, under Public Folders, I have created a folder per department. In each of those dept folders, I have created a Calendar and assigned permissions to a dept representative to manage it. Works fine...

I was able to test the solution that Cliff and Tighpants suggested and I like it...

I will be proposing two solutions to management and will go from there..

thanks everyone for all your help...
