Basic Windows 2000 Professional question. I started an SFC /SCANNOW and the PC asked me for a cd. This is the first time I've run SFC on this Windows 2000 PC, and it currently it is at SP4 and current with Windows Updates.
I created a slipstreamed SP4 Windows 2000 cd, and the cd works; that is, the pc boots from it. But when I insert the slipstreamed CD at the SFC request, the PC requests another CD, probably the original CD. I don't have the original, which did not have any SP installed on it and am confused as to why the slipstreamed CD does not work.
I've slipstreamed a Windows 2000 Server CD with SP4 and that CD worked on the server, that is, SFC recognized the slipstreamed CD and fixed some corrupt files.
How should I proceed? Trying to resolve a blue screen, first one in 3 years. But my SFC does not work.
Thanks in advance.
