Setupx.dll in SFC/may be corrupted scan. Function of this file? 1

When I run System Tools/System Information/System File Checker in Win98SE, I get setupx.dll

Can someone say: 1. what does this dll do? Is it trivial or important?

Well, as the name suggests... it is a "SETUP" file (.dll). You might want to check it's properties before you go any further and determine what it is. I think it may actually be the ".dll" that kkicks off the "Windows" installation, so you should be able to find it on the install/upgrade disc. Just copy it over... that oughta do it.
