Hello,

I have just installed Apache 2.0.50 and PHP 5.0.0, i have popped a script into the default directory of apache to test php, as follows:

<?

phpinfo()

?>

when i navigate to the on my computer,
1. I get index of: instead of it loading index.php
2. When i click on index.php IE's load bar flickers and goes through 100% and flashes the screen, but nothing happens.
3. If i right-click on index.php and open in a new window, the new window refreshes a number of times (maybe 5 or 6) automatically and then displays phpinfo.

Can anyone shed light on why this is happening?

TIA.

Hello Bastien,

thanks for the reply, i think in a rather embarrasing and sleepy oversight that may have been it! But, since my machine now reads BOOT DISK ERROR when i turn it on, i will not be able to tell until i have time to fix..

Many Thanks.
