setup of a group that will email to multiple non exchange emails

I am currently working on setting up a 2000 exchange server and i want to create a broup that appears when the user browses the list of emails when creating a new message. I want this group to send a email to number of email addresses that are outside of the exchange server and outside of the network, ie. hotmail accounts. I would appreciate any help you guys could give me regarding this issue.

Create mail-enabled contacts in AD
Then a Distrobution Group with these as members and also mail enable it
