I've been running v2.6 with the Distribution Kit for many years and using the foxpro Setup app to create installation diskettes. Now, all of a sudden when I run the SETUP.APP in the command window, I get a message File MSGBOX.PRG DOES NOT EXIST, and then I get an I/O Operation failure message when I press Ignore or Cancel. Any thoughts?
Thanks.
Keith

1. FoxPro 2.6 does not have a function MsgBox so the problem must be a missing UDF.
2. The Drive I/O problem is FoxPro is looking for a drive letter you do not have mapped. This drive letter could be in the FoxPro path statement, DOS path Statement, or hard coded into a program or screen or menu inside the applicaion.

Question, Did the computer that builds the application have any hardware work done to it recently or is it a different computer then what was used to build the application in the past? David W. Grewe

Dave:

I get this message about msgbox.prg as soon as I issue the DO SETUP command in the command box. This has nothing to do with a project or building an application. I already have a .exe created and I'm trying to create the installation diskettes for distribution.

Thanks.

This exactly happened to me once, when by mistake I erased foxtools.fll from FoxPro start directory. I had to recopy the file to its original place and restart Windows.

Try it and let us know. :)

Hi,
If you are using the same set of floppys used earlier, suggest recreating the setUp disks. An error in floppy disk also will create this problem. Especially, that you are getting an I-O error also.

The foxtools.fll file still exists in my c:\fpw26 directory. In fact, I've reinstalled FoxPro.

As far as the diskettes, I get the error as soon as I type in DO SETUP in the command window.

Thanks.
