Hello.
I have looked up about this question on the internet, but couldn't any answer. (I did but these were for linux user)

I'm running Apache 1.3.29 on WinXP pro.

I would like to change the settings so that
folder.domain.com goes to and also to change the settings so that when users type
domain.com it goes to
thanks in advance.

This won't be an Apache-only question. In order for folder.domain.com to be available, your users' machines must be able to resolve folder.domain.com to an IP address. This involved DNS.

The same holds true for users' accessing and domain.com.

alright thanks a lot for your reply.

I still have an other question:

I installed Apached on my WinXP on a different disk thank the one with my OS on.
My document root is: w:\home

I have one site in
w:\home\company\v4on other in
w:\home\Uni
I want to redirect
to w:\home\company\v4and I want to redirect
to w:\home\Uni
I tried to use <VirtualHost> but I couldn't work it out...
Any help?

PS I'm behind a router

<VirtualHost> wouldn't work -- both URLs are in the same domain name.

You can probably make this work using the Alias directive, but it is going to make your life a lot simpler in the long run to make your site structure match the URLs your users will be hitting.
