Setting user mailbox limit

Hi All,

I have a few questions with regards to the Exchange 2000.

1) What is the default user mailbox size?
2) What is the default size for delivery restriction, maximun size for a
single incoming/outgoing mail?
3) Currently I have not set the default mailbox size limit for all the user.
Most of the users mailbox is already hitting 50MB in size. What will happen
if i set the mailbox size limit to 20MB? Will the exchange delete all my
user mails?
4) How do I change the default mailbox size? Is that the proper way to set a
default mailbox size for all users?
5) I have something off the subject. How do I create a shortcut or link in
my OWA which links to my intranet web site?

by default there is no pre define size of mail boxes and not for delivery restriction . whatever u want u have to define
you can define a mailbox size for all users from Exchange system manager
go to your Organization, click servers, click your server,first storage group, mailbox storeon limit tab
storage limits define your limits

after that users older that certain days will be deleted if that are over limit

try it will work

I tried setting these limits recently on our server, but no notifications have gone out to the users who have passed their warning limit? One manual that I read indicated that I needed to use System Attendant to set this up but it did not give any specifics on how to do that. Any help??

Kathy - i have the same issue in that notifiactions are not being sent out after mailboxes have reached thier limit (s).

Did you resolve this? if so, how?
