hello
this should usually be pretty basic stuff but for the last year I ahve been dealing with a problem (more of a thorn in my side) that doesn't seem to have a solution.
I have read this faq faq962-4452 and read this post about it but I still can't get it to work. Here is my scenario:
win2k sp4 on network but not part of domain
sql2k sp3 services started with local account and admin permissions
outlook2k configured with MAPI to log on to exchange2003(part of the domain)
SQL Agent logs on to SQL Server via sa
results:
outlook succesfully sends and receives emails to/from domain accounts
SQL Server and SQL Agent start with no errors and jobs are completed.
SQL Mail finds MAPI session
Send Test Mail fails saying it could not connect with exchange server.
Our exchange server is set up that everytime you start outlook (or a MAPI session) it will ask user input for username, password and domain.
rebooted endless times, not sure of the BIOS upgrade but I am sure the network team would have applied a new bios if one came out in this past year... will ask them for details.
any more ideas?
Thanks in advance =)
