When i set up msie to connect through a proxy server my internet connection will not connect when i dial up. It says about invalid username and password. (error: 691)
I have to delete the connection then make it again for me to connect again, even if i disable the proxy in msie i still have to delete the connection for it to connect again.
My ISP is freeserve, i connect to the hometime servers (free off peak). I can succesfully enable a proxy server on a UK2.NET connection (you pay for every min ur online). It seems the problem is only with freeserve. I have emailed them and they say that they cannot solve this problem because it has got nothing to do with them.
how can i successfully enable a proxy server on my freeserve connection?
