Setting up DNS Replication

Hi.

We have a W2k server running DNS and we would like to setup a secondardy DNS that is a replica of the primary one. We have a second server running W2k and DNS, but how do I get it to automatically replicate the DNS entries from the primary server.

Is this possible? If so can some give me a step by step guide or point me in the direction of one.

So there is no way to get it to automatically duplicate then?

If your DNS is AD integrated every DNS server on the domain will replicate automatically, otherwise setup a secondary zone as per Benlu

Ok. I have change the DNS zones to be stored in the AD, however they don't appear to be replicating. The zones are all set to "Replication: All DNS servers in the Active Directory domain". The secondary server is in the AD domain and it has DNS installed, but nothing appears in the DNS control panel under the 'Forward Lookup Zones' section. Do I need to add the DNS server on the secondary server to the AD some how?

In the properties of your AD Integrated zone, look at the Zone transfers tab - check to assure that "Allow Zone Transfers" is checked and that the secondary server is allowed this privelege.

It is working now. I think it just needed some time to get the replication going.
