How large of a pool are you setting up? For a small one, a multi-port serial board on NT using NT RAS services is adequate.<br>

We use a NT4 server with a DIGI Ports 8/em serial board on it. This is an expansion borad that has a cable connection to an exernal box with 8 serial ports in it. Software driver setup is almost a no-brainer and you have COM3-COM10. Put modems on the ports and add them through NT. Install the RAS services, Add the modems to the RAS services, activate IP Forwarding and you're ready to go. <br>

On the phone side, you need to run a separate extension to each modem then, in the phone switch, set up a <i>hunt group</i>.
