I am trying to figure out a way to set reminders for an item that is located in a public folder. I would like to be able to specify the users who would receive the reminder. I have tried various tricks programattically, using various scripts and customized forms - but I have not been able to come up with a suitable solution.
Does anyone know of a way to do this, or a good third-party utility that does this? I don't want anything complex - as I was trying to work through the problem, my solution started to resemble a Rube Goldberg device - scheduled tasks, scripts, custom forms, all trigerring one another, etc etc - and there were still too many instances where it wouldn't work and the users wouldn't receive their reminders.
I wanted to keep this post short - but I can describe exactly what I'm doing now if need be.
