I have a Windows XP(Professional) machine that is connected to a Windows 2000 SBS server. When I set the default printer to a networked printer everything works fine until I restart/logoff the machine. When the machine restarts the default printer has switched back to the printer I have directly connected to the XP machine. How can I keep this from happening.

Thanks in advance

How are the printers connected to your computer?

Is the setting to Automatically search foe network folders and printers checked in XP's Folder Options/ View?

Specifies that Windows periodically search the network for shared folders and printers. All shared folders and printers that are found appear in My Network Places.
