Hi all,

I would like to configure one of our 3524 that our Helpdesk team can access this switch via webbrowser with their own login. They should only be able to enable or disable the ethernet ports, but should have (of course) no full access.

How can I do this??

Many thanks in advance for all helpful hints!

Best regards
George

You can create users and specify their privilege level (1-15).'username <name> password <pass> privilege <level>'

Create a few with say level 3 privilege.

Next specify what commands are at that level with 'privilege exec level 3 <command>'

Finally specify that the switch should look to its internal database for login with the aux/con line command 'login local'

Thanks a lot for your help so far! I've configured the switch like you described and can now login via telnet with the new user logins, but it's not working via webbrowser. There is only the chance to login with level 15 privilege... any idea??

Many thanks
George
