I am a newbie, trying to set up an extension that will be used for a HR enrollment process and they want this phone to be able to dial any internal 4 digit extension but only 911 and a single toll free number and nothing else externally.

Can anyone give me a hint on how to proceed?

Thanks

Try building this set with a very low (0 or 1) cor then test it. Most systems i have seen use the low COR's to restrict outside dialing.

Thanks for your response. I do have a couple of different CORs that restrict outside dialing but what they are requesting is that this station be able to dial a single outside number and only that number. For instance 866-555-1212.

- Put the number (866-555-1212) in the coverage-remote table. (cha cov rem 1).
- Create a new coverage path and put the coverage-remote entry as point 1 (rX; X = entry number on coverage-remote table).
- Create a dummy x-port station and give the station the new coverage path with the rX entry.

Now your station that is restricted to internal calls and 911 can dial the outside number by dialing the extension of the dummy x-port station.

Thanks all for your help. This seems like the easiest way to do it.
