Merry Christmas to everyone!!!

Is there any problem that would crop up in our database or OS after setting the TIMED_STATISTICS to true. We are using oracle 8.05 in NT box. Any genuine ideas pls.

You can enable TIMED_STATISTICS on session-level (alter session set timed_statistics=true).

Well there is not problem in putting up TIMED_STATISTICS parameter to true, it will actually be very userful in knowing many performance statistics based on time for eg if you wish to use the v$waitstat view to show which resources are currently waiting for resources to be allocated to them
