set focus where i want

there is a textbox. in the textbox i got this text : "hello"

is there any way to set focus on my textbox but the cursor to be between the "he" and the "llo" ?

I tried sniffing about this with an eye toward adding two characters at the end of the string: <left-arrow><left-arrow> and then throwing focus on the text field, but I'm not doing well in that direction.
