So I was woring in my MItel R.7 yesterday and I was logged out for inactivity. I closed out of the ICP and opened a new browser window. Now I can log in, but when I choose System Administration Tool, I get the following error:

"Your session has time out. Please exit the application and log in again."

Cleared cookies and temp internet files, closed the browser and tried again, no luck. Went to another computer, and tried the same login, got the same issue.

You weren't setting the time by any chance were you?

Try logging into the group admin tool and see if the time on the box is right.

Group Admin Tool returns:

"Unknown error"

when this started, I had actually just stepped away to place a 5212 I had just programmed.

It might be that all of your sessions are locked out. Haven't seen that issue in a while. There are some console commands to determine this but I don't know them. A reboot would clear them but I'm assuming that option is not currently available to you.

Don't think I can help short term - sorry.

I reset the system last night. Same thing. I you happen to find that console command, please share it with me. Thanks.

No I don't know the command for viewing the sessions, sorry.

I'm just guessing anyways.

If the option to call Mitel Directly is not available to you, there are quite a few guys in this forum that are quite informed on the command line interface. Unfortunately, I am not.

Irwin?

What browser are you using?
Maybe try another one like FF or Avant (better choice) just for fun.
Does the same thing happen trying to login from a completely different computer?

Dave

You can't believe anything you read... unless of course it's this.

IE 7 and Firefox 3. Unfortunately, Firefox is not supported by ICP R.7 (at least that's what the ICP tells you when you try to login).

It happens from any computer.

I have the same problem on one of 3300 LX rls 7.1.5 Me too I have rebooted the system several times, and sometimes I can go there during one week but if I make a change in the directory form, I get the error " "Your session has time out. Please exit the application and log in again."

Not able to go back there without rebooting.

We are change the controler with the old hard disk = same problem
We are change the hard disk with the same release and restore the backup = same problem

Tech support thinks that is a corruption of the database, so it's the next step to reprogram from default but the system is in resiliency and have over 400 ip set, embedded voicemail, networked with 911 service ... not a pleasure !!

You have to be kidding...

I think this is a "stuck" session of some kind. I know you can access the system through FTP and query the sessions in use, so surely if I could find these commands I could find how to end a session.

Can you login to a telnet session using the ESM admin password?

Now I just need to find the commands.

So does anyone have a list of the commands you can execute in the command line through Telnet?

A List?

At the command line with "system" privileges you have virtually the entire subset of the SX2000 call control at your fingertips. The list of "maintenance" commands shown in the ESM help screen would barely scratch the surface of what's all there.

tread carefully

I don't know if this command would reveal what you're looking for but you can try the command DBMS CLIENTS
