Services and controller app has encountered a problem... 1

...and needs to close.windows\system32\services.exe terminated unexpectedly with status code 1073741819. The system will now shut down and restart.

Thanks for your quick reply. I have been to the Microsoft security link. My firewall has been up. I keep my system updated through auto updates from Microsoft. I have ran w32.Blaster.worm fix tool (ver. 1.06.1) in normal and safe mode several times. So far no worm has been found. I might try another worm removal program as my next option. if you have any more advice I would be grateful.

To stop the reboots: Go to Start/Run and type in: services.msc. Scroll down to Remote Procedure Call (RPC)/Recovery/First Failure/Restart the Service.

This script removes all variants of the W32.Blaster.Worm (original, B, C, D, E and F) and will inform you whether or not the patch is already installed.
