I have just started in a new company and the old person has left. The backs ups were taking over 24 hours to complete and were 200gb to tape.
Unsuprisingly they failed a lot and slowed the network. I am currently trying to back up critical files as quickly as possible in the short term before I come up with a new back up procedure.
On the server running the back up the CPU is running at 100% with two instances of Servicemgr.exe running at 49 and 50% is this related to a backup job? or is this, as I suspect a virus?. Just wanted to confirm before I end the process and runa virus scan.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
