Service Packs for Metaframe 1.8

Has anybody applied the latest Citrix Service pack, SP 3 ?
Did it go smooth ?
How about Windows 2000 service pack 4, has anybody applied this? if so what were the results.

W2k Sp4 is known to cause various problems with Citrix. When we ran 1.8 quite a while back, we were on SP3 with no problems, if I remember correctly.

You really need to upgrade to Metaframe XP when possible.

The latest SP for metaframe 1.8 is SP4, not SP3.

No issues heared so far.
(requires client 6.31.1051 minimum though, and do not use lcient 7 or higher)

I know there are additional features that can not be utlilized without being on a newer client version but I was not aware that this is a requirement. I have devices "unfortunatley" running clients much older than 6.31 and I am on MF XP FR3

Let me refrase.

Full functionality requires that specific client, and Citrix does not fully test older clients with the latest FR, or SP.
In the real world that has resulted (not always or for everybody) in causing problems, when connecting to new FR's or SP's, with an older client.
Therefore the advice, using the word "required"
