Hi

I have installed Service Pack 2 from the orginal CD. Now however when I visit the Windows update site it recommends that I download the Critical Update which includes Service Pack 2! Anybody know why?

Thanks

Hans

There must be an problem with Windows Update, but it might be correct to ask u to instal Critical Update cuz Microsoft made some updates to SP2 by the time u have received the CD witch includes the old one...
I've instaled a lots o patches from Microsoft even i have SP2 instaled (example : Code Red Patch for IIS) ________

My SP2 has at least 90MB!? so what u get from the Microsoft site is an patch to this SP2.. ________

Using Windows update modifies the registry to note that you have done a live update. Doing an off line update does not, hence you have inconsistencies. In theory, when you do an update that requires SP2, during the download it will notice this and things will be faster...

After all, this is a Microsoft OS doing a Microsoft update from the Microsoft web site. So everything will go smoothly won't it?
