Service Pack 2 Installed -- Errors on Management Studio on Server

Hi

I have upgraded my cluster environment SQL SERVER 2005 Standard from SP1 to SP2 (4th Apr 2007).

I am getting the following strange errors on the server,

i. Management Studios - trying to open the Maintenance Plan to see the backup plan, not possible

error: Value set to NULL,
unable to cast COM object of type 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Runtime.....'

ii Running the maintenance plan via jobs scheduler not possible, object not set to an instance etc etc


when the dba installed the service pack 2 on the box, they did get errors and it was related to the Notification service and the client tools component. This failed on the hot fixes

How do I fix this problem? is there a hot fix out their?

running SELECT @@VERSION I get 9.00.3042.00

When did you download your version of SP2? Was it prior to March 5th?
