I want to know is there a command that will show you what stations are using the observer and also show what stations they are observing.

How do you find out the total of service observe limit, is it license to purchase??

I am sorry but I dont understand the forum, what is the reason they keep repeating 1, 6 and 50s

The information posted doesn't format nicely. The information listed is from a table, each of the 50's listed is telling you the capacity for different system platforms.

So it would look like this in the original document:

S8710____S8720XL____S8500____S8400
50_______50__________50_______50

Goto support.avaya.com and search for System Capacities for your CM version. For CM 5.2.1 you would simply search for "System Capacities Table 5.2.1" should bring it up as the first document.

This shows you the capacity of the system for everything including service observing.

You may also have an issue where more than one person is trying to observe the same VDN or agent. Look at your system-parameters features for:

SERVICE OBSERVING
Service Observing: Warning Tone? n or Conference Tone? n
Service Observing Allowed with Exclusion? n
Allow Two Observers in Same Call? n

Try changing the Allow Two Observers in the Same Call to yes.

I have to get a better understanding. I have 3d party App NICE doing recordings. Now I see it says 50 Observers can be on 1 VDN. What if you are monitoring Hunt groups

Today Makes Tomorrow

you can not monitor hunt groups, only agents or non agents, I believe the issue you had was you needed to service observe an agent who was already being monitored by another employee, so turn on( Allow Two Observers in Same Call? n) change this to yes should solve your problem, command is change system features

I already have that set to yes

1246 Svc obsrv exceed max 1167 1723 10/10/09:57 10/10/11:51 12

This is what I have came across.

When you status the station of the agent that you're trying to observe, how many ports do you see connected and how many of those are NICE and/or other observers as opposed to trunks or non-observers?

OK after this long headache of mines, I removed the station and added it back and now it works did it to all four extension no changes made. Now this is still weird I saw a thread

This is what I found out on iaug.org
Today Makes Tomorrow

That patch is from 2007 and is fixed in all later cm4 and cm5 loads without patches.

50 is the system maximum for vdn monitoring only. There are no limits for observing extensions or agents.
