Service Control Manager error

Hi,

After a clean install of Windows Server 2003 Enterprise with the following software:

* MS Office 2003
* VS.NET 2003
* SQL Server 2000

I get the following error every time I boot, logged in Event Viewer:

The General Purpose USB Driver (adildr.sys) service failed to start due to the following error: 
The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.

Anyone know what this is? How to resolve it? Stop the prompt appearing each time on boot?

Everything I have found for Error 7000 and Service Control Manager indicates a problem with a NIC. Are you using a USB NIC?

Not sure what you mean, my hardware knowledge is somewhat limited. But I can tell you that I do have a USB BroadBand modem connected.

You might want to try disconnecting the USB modem and rebooting to see if the error is still there.

If yo don't get the message then you know that was the hardware causing the problem.

If the modem is working when you do get the message anyway, then you are probably looking at an issue that is dealing with the timing of hardware initialization and can probably safely ignore the message.

Oh, its not so much an error I'm getting, everything from hardware and software works great - its just that prompt I would like to remove.
