I use the cmd file from 'Methodology in a Box' ( to restart my Citrix servers each night (they all go about an hour apart).
There are six servers in the farm, but there are two that sometimes fail to come back up after a restart.
The servers get as far as stopping the event log, then just hang. I can connect to the admin share from another server, and ping etc. Computer management will show the DCOM Service and IMA service as 'Starting'. If I connect to the lights out board and power cycle the server, it will come up and be available.
All the servers are identical twin processor HP DL 360 G3 Servers with 3GB RAM running Windows 2000 and Metaframe XPa.
The servers are all in a workgroup as we're not able to implement AD yet due to a central project.
Any possible solutions?
Thanks.
